Michael operates his law practice from his Livermore, CA office where he focuses on Business Law and Personal Bankruptcy. Michael works closely with several start-up clients throughout the bay area in functions ranging from general counsel, business advisor and board member. Michael opened his own firm in September 2010.

Prior to opening his law office, Michael was the General Counsel for Catalyst Financial. Michael oversaw all aspects of the Business Planning, Contract Formation, Private Equity Due Diligence, Municipal Finance and Corporate Formation activities for Catalyst. Michael’s experience in business law, non-profits, municipal finance and contract law played a vital role in Catalyst’s operations.

Prior to joining Catalyst, Michael was a law clerk and then associate at Loughrey & Woelfel, LLP where he represented clients in several areas of law, but focused primarily on advocating on behalf of children with learning disabilities through civil litigation in state and federal court.

Michael graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in May 2008 and passed the California Bar exam later that summer. While attending Valparaiso University School of Law Michael worked for several business law firms as a law clerk and summer associate. Michael was the president of the Environmental Law Society and worked with local non-profits to reduce waste run-off from the steel factories and oil refineries in Gary, Indiana.

Michael received his undergraduate degree from Marian University where he lettered all four years in Track and Cross Country. He was an RA, Sophomore and Junior Class President, Freshman Vice-President and an honors graduate.

Michael lives with his wife, Erin, in Livermore, CA.
